Site License Purchase
In order to use the GeoIP data, you need to purchase a site license for the database.

You can purchase multiple databases with one order by adding them to the shopping cart before checking out. Please note that some of the databases may contain information from another database. For example, if you purchase the site license for the GeoIP City database, you will also receive GeoIP Country, Region, Area Code, and Metro Code data at no extra cost upon request. We offer discounts for upgrades and to educational, non-profit, and government organizations.

There are three different ways that updates can be obtained.

Subscription
The subscription plan charges the payment method on file (credit card, paypal, etc.) at the beginning of each monthly cycle for the associated update amount. For example, if you signed up for a subscription for GeoIP Country database on July 12th, then on the 12th of each month, your account will be charged $12. Clients are entitled to all available updates associated with the subscription and can cancel at any time.

Pre-payment
This option allows for the purchase of the site license and/or multiple updates with one purchase. For example, clients can purchase 1-2 years of updates in advance. This can be done via credit card, check, and wire transfer. Please contact accounts@maxmind.com to set this up.

On Demand
This option is for clients who do not necessarily need all the latest updates. Clients can choose to purchase updates when they are needed.

To purchase the update online, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click on the Add Subscription or Add One-time Update link for each of the products you would like to update.
3. Click on the "Checkout using Credit Card" or "Checkout using PayPal" button and follow the instructions.
